Bio

Patricia Bonn is a native of San José, California, and has lived in the Phoenix area since 1969. She is married and lives with her husband of forty-five years and two beagles in Tempe. An alumnus of Arizona State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in History, her writing is divided between scholarly presentations of conference papers or articles and fiction. Her academic focus is social justice in the American West and Southwest.

Her fiction endeavors include the topic of social justice as well as interest in the suspense genre. If Walls Could Speak is the first novella of a trilogy self-published with Kindle. Patricia was awarded Second place, Arizona Authors Association 2007 Literary Contest in the Short Story category for Chorizo Con Papas Wrapped in a Dream. She is also a playwright; her original play Joaquín: The Life and Times of Joaquín Murrieta was produced at Kerr Cultural Center, Scottsdale, October 2003. New Carpa Theater Co. included her ten-minute short play, Dancing on Air, in the “Performing Justice” festival performances in Phoenix and Tucson, July 2012.
